While Steve, Dan and Ilya were employees of MeeVee, they moved the staid listings service to a modern TV destination by building MeeVee"s aggregated "Interest Channels," the MeeVee People social network, and many new features, including new ways for TV fans to contribute to the site.

At Ziff-Davis Game Group, Steve and Dan launched 1UP v2.0, the first social network specifically for gamers. The project was brought in-house after a 6-month, multi-million dollar outsourcing effort went sideways and E3 was a mere month away.
