Steve Hughey

Steve's been at this software "thing" since he was 10 and he received an Atari 800 with tape drive and a used 19" Zenith for his birthday. By 15, he was selling a popular BBS package which quickly became #1 in the space.

At AOL/Netscape, he was the first engineer chosen to deliver on the blockbuster $200MM deal between Travelocity and AOL. He led their Download Center project which updated their circa-mid-80's client download area for the web, and was instrumental on Autos, Decision Guides, Netbusiness, and Food & Recipes.

At Ziff-Davis Game Group, he launched the popular 1UP.com social network and architected GameVideos.com.

While at IGE, he led teams in Hong Kong and Shanghai, China building their popular RMT platform.

Most recently, he was the acting CEO of MeeVee and guided the company through a successful acquisition in May 2008. He architected their Interest Channel, MeeVee TV, and social network products.

Steve still codes every day, from simple perl scripts which monitor his flakey Comcast connection (and then sends a bill for down time) to managing large Oracle databases and turning his latest idea into a real working prototype in Ruby on Rails.

When not working, you can find Steve making heavy use of his D-SLR.
